MILTON, PENNSYLVANIA – On April 5, Patton Logistics Group, a provider of integrated supply chain solutions for clients throughout the United States and Canada, purchased a 45-acre plot in Gregg Township, Union County, Pa.
The land, located at the Great Stream Commons, was purchased by Patton Logistics Group to expand the company’s warehousing operations. Once inspections are finalized, Patton will erect two facilities. One 65,000 square foot warehouse to satisfy the needs of an existing customer whose booming business immediately requires increased warehouse space. The other, a 225,000 square foot warehouse, will accommodate Patton Warehousing’s future growth.
“Purchasing this property was about so much more than the land itself,” said Steve Patton, president of The Patton Logistics Group. “The region and the workforce here have proven to be an invaluable asset to our companies and our customers. Also, the land is locally accessible to expand our company footprint in this area. While many of our customers start with small projects, we end up exceeding their expectations and receiving even more of their businesses. In reaction to those consistently growing demands, we take on the mindset of ‘if we build it, they will come.’
In addition to supporting customers’ logistics needs, Patton’s expansion will create job opportunities in the Susquehanna Valley. Upon completion, the warehouse is estimated to produce a minimum of approximately 25 new jobs.
With the addition of the Great Stream Commons facilities, Patton’s operation will accumulate to a total of four million square feet and add onto the 850-person workforce.
“Over the next two years, we anticipate totaling over 1,000 employees across all three of our companies,” said Patton. “Everyone at Patton is excited about the possibilities the future holds with this expansion. The land is shovel ready and will provide various government tax incentives, we’re just waiting for the land development plan to be approved and permits to be obtained. Once the ribbon is cut on our new facility, we’ll have even more space and capabilities to successfully execute integrated supply chain solutions for our customers.”
Additionally, Pulaski Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, January 13, 2022, for the building of a new Patton Logistics Group terminal and grand opening of their warehouse facility in Dublin, Virginia. The newly constructed warehouse is 251,000 square feet and provided 80 new jobs in 2021.
The celebration was centered around innovation of integrated supply chain solutions for Patton’s employees and customers.
“We wanted to celebrate the bright future at our Dublin location,” said Patton. “Our dedicated employees and loyal customers deserve the best, and that’s exactly what we’re delivering with our new terminal, warehouse, and electric trucks. Patton Logistics was founded on the idea of consistent, quality innovation. We’re proud to maintain that promise.”
